  7. Now I have no idea why it took, 5 more steps to sign in three times to get this thing to post. But hey, it worked. So I am trying it again. See if my 'luck' holds out.
WHere are all the new members. You know I have some questions to ask others about some boardmaker stuff. Just need more on line to figure it out.

  8. Dot---What ??? do you have about boardmaker?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Well, I finally got it together and signed up. Dot, I use Boardmaker a little but used it quite a bit when I was Nancy L.'s speech para. I don't know if I can help, but maybe....

  10. Nancy helped me with my first visual schedule, I was over thinking things. Just trying to figure out how detailed of a schedule was confusing to me . Than Keri her para helped to get it done through Boardmaker. I have trouble trying to pick the right pictures and get them together. So right now I have the visual schedule I need, but I didn't do the work, so I am afraid I am not ready to do it again. On Infinitec there are some articles that were helpful.
How do you decide if horizonal or vertical? Do you make a schedule for in my room, or just in the classroom generally?
The next one I do will be doing pics for severe students to choose activities. Are there other pics that I can use and import to boardmaker?
Well glad you guys are out there. will retry after Th-day.

  12. Dot you get the Best Blogger Award! It sounds to me like you are getting the visual schedule thing figured. It isn't too hard but sure is different if you haven't had those kiddos for awhile. You will get the hang of it! I have a great ppt I will send you with ideas for kids with big needs.

    Merry Christmas all!

  16. Why is it every time I do this, I have to rethink the whole process of posting? I am not a fast learner

  17. HOpe everyone had a great spring break. I know we are getting ready for the book study. How is everyone doing with that? Thought we could help each other with some blogging. Let me know. I will be asking questions, it is my nature.

  21. Thanks Dot. I guess I am probably too late to sign up. I thought I signed up to do the middle school book study but I must have goofed it up somehow because I didn't get in. Maybe I'll ask Gail just in case it's not too late.

Since you are the lady in the know, do you happen to know when the alternate assessment scoring date it?

    Thanks for the info!

  22. I think calling Gail is a good idea.
Don't know the alternative assessment scoring date is. I am avoiding that for awhile.

  25. Okay I am so shocked at Amy Spencer and her family's death. I just heard who it was in the plane. She was such a great teacher, person, mom, etc. I really think it is a big loss to our world and to us at HPEC and especially our kiddos.
Are we doing anything for her? Is there a memorial fund? Please let me know. I am just so shocked and saddened!!!

  26. Help Dot!!!
I finally got signed up for the elementary irr, but where is the book study blog? I know it started already. I read the book but can't figure out where to comment.

  27. I love it Susan!! I thought that would be only me can't fine things.
Glad to have you on the site. Your comments are really going well. And you are ahead of us now.
Good luck on ending this year.

  28. I would like to know if there is a memorial fund for Amy's family too. I would love to contribute something in her honor. Such a sad, tragic thing to happen.

  29. Hi all!! Hope this is a good year. I want to do some stuff from the book study. I really liked that book.
But now I want to say how I loved seeing everyone at the inservice. Thanks to all for ratifying agreement. I will keep my word on reinstating our lost year.
Thanks to HPEC central staffers and drafted ones for making it so great.
So Rock and Roll. Ready set go. We are on the way.
